New Moon Ritual: Goal Setting

Hey Moon Goddesses!

This is the first time I've posted about a moon cycle ritual and I'm really excited to share what I've been learning and practicing! One of my New Year goals was to get more in tune with the moon (I liked that rhyme there!).

New moon ritual goal setting.

The new moon will take place on March 17th at 9:11 AM Eastern Time

The New Moon cycle is the perfect time to set goals for this new moon cycle. I've come to realize there are many questions you can ask yourself to come up with your goals, but here are the 3 that are most important to me:

1. What do you want to achieve?
2. Whom do you want to become?
3. Why are these goals important to you?

Here's what you can do to get clear on your goals in a way that's true to your soul.

1. Quite the Mind

Find a quiet place and meditate on the 3 questions above for as long as you need. See what thoughts and ideas come to you and really notice how they feel to you. A lot of people set goals on external factors of what society says looks like success, but you have to decide for yourself what success looks like.

A lot of people end up buying all these material things that they think are signs of success but deep down they aren't happy. So what makes you happy? What fulfills your soul?

2. Write Down What You Saw

Grab a sheet of paper and just start jotting down everything you thought and felt. What lit you up during your meditation? What gave you a flutter in your gut in a good way? Write everything down.

3. Get Clear on What You Want

Go through each thing you wrote down and define the goal. Write down how achievable it is, what you need to accomplish it, how long it would take you to complete it, and how you will feel once it's completed.

For example, if you kept seeing roses in your mind and it just tickled your soul, get clear on how you will incorporate more roses into your life. Are you someone who would like to start a rose garden or would you be happier not fussing with gardening and just simply treating yourself to a bouquet of roses every month?

4. Put it on the Calendar

Now that we've defined our goals it's time to create an action plan and put it on the calendar!

I'm going to use the example of the rose again. Let's say you decided you want to start a rose garden, you're action steps might look like this:

- March 19th - 20th: Research roses (What type of roses do you want to grow? What climate do they grow in best? What soil do they need? How much sunlight will they require? etc.)
- March 21st: Go to local home & garden store and pick up 2 packets of rose seeds, soil, and germination pods.
- March 24th: Spend Saturday planting rose seeds.

And so on.

Stay focused on your goals and always keep the next step top of mind so you don't lose sight of the dream life you're building for yourself.

Thank the moon for allowing you to accomplish your goals and create the life of you've always imagined.

What are some goals you'd like to accomplish during this moon cycle? I'm planning on launching a new product but that's a secret for now - be sure to join the Goddess Tribe to be the first to find out what that is!
